Here are my Top 3 Reads of the week!
- Observations on the Persecution of Christians during Easter - by Michael Youssef
Many Christians -especially in the West- may have comfortable surroundings during Easter. But that is not true of all our fellow believers around the world. Michael Youssef encourages us that although persecution may come, there is a hope.
- You Can't Arrest the Gospel - by David Mathis
When Peter and John were arrested (Acts 4), they respectfully - yet boldly- proclaimed that while they may be persecuted, the gospel will continue to go forth. They said, "Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge, for we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard." They proved to be an incredible example to many who would suffer persecution at the hands of wicked men. Be encouraged that the message we proclaim is powerful enough to blow through seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
- The EE-TAOW Story - by Justin Taylor
Taylor comments, "If you’ve never seen this old-school video about the moving EE-TAOW story, it is very much worth 25 minutes of your time to fan the flames for frontier missions where Christ is not yet named. Make sure to watch to the end." - I completely agree. Often times, we can take it for granted the access to the gospel we do have. There are many out there that truly listen and immensely treasure the message upon hearing it for the first time.
