Revelation 7:9-10 reads, "After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, 'Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!'"
One commentator says regarding this passage that the diversity of the people here indicates "the extent to which the gospel of Jesus Christ has permeated the entire earth." As the gospel permeates all areas of the earth, it is effective in changing hearts and lives. We want to help people find and follow Jesus Christ. And that desire is not just for people who look like you and me. It is for all sorts of different people. Different cultures. Different languages.
That's one reason why we've started a bilingual service at First McKinney. Our desire is to reach people for the Christ - right where they are. This is a picture of how heaven will look like! All peoples, all cultures, all languages represented before the throne, worshiping Jesus together. If you'd like to know more about it, check us out HERE.
